Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Bailey is an entrepreneur with a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management. He analysed the emerging Jamaican cannabis industry and its characteristics and founded HERBS. He has strong political ties with members of parliament for the constituency of St. Andrew East Rural, home to Blue Mountain Coffee and the Prime Minister of Jamaica.
Mr. Bahadur has provided consulting services to a variety of public and private sector clients from start-ups to developed companies in the Jamaican agricultural market. He is also CEO of a large-scale agricultural group that has done business with the EU, the World Bank, 9 US states, Canada, Israel, Columbia and Australia. During the past few years, Mr. Bahadur has been focused primarily on the emerging medical and recreational cannabis markets in Canada, Europe and abroad.
Vice President and Co-Founder
Mr. Yu is an instrumentation and automation technologist with experience in industrial production and automation. He has executed key planning roles in time-sensitive turn-around projects with leaders in the energy and utility industries. His focus is on planning Herbs’ development projects to increase efficiency and scalability.
Matthew is a supply chain and project management specialist based in Eastern Europe. He has extensive experience in business development and marketing in Eastern Europe. Mr. Berry is an Engineering Physicist graduate of HEC International Business School in Paris, France and Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario. In addition, he is a reserve naval lieutenant with the Canadian Armed Forces.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Bill has a B.A. and B. Comm. from Queen’s University and an MBA from Western University. He is an experienced Financial Executive who has served as a director, CEO and CFO of numerous TSX listed companies. He has built and managed several money management firms, including most recently a $3BB international firm focused on UHNW investors.
Mr. Maat brings 50 years of agricultural knowledge in Jamaica, to the team. He specializes in efficient large-scale farming in tropical climates. Mr. Maat is the owner of a small, family run agricultural operation. He focuses in areas of construction, pre-production, and daily maintenance activities related to cultivation.
